The Code Européen des Voies de Navigation Intérieure (CEVNI) regulates navigation on the interconnected European inland waterways.
Passing the ICC CEVNI test validates the Inland category on your International Certificate of Competence (ICC) and signifies that you have shown proficiency in the traffic regulations applicable on inland waters, especially the CEVNI, as mandated by Resolution 40.

Pre-course prerequisites
Prior to undertaking this course students must provide evidence of one of the following;
- Completion certificate from a qualifying RYA practical course
- Successful ICC assessment at an RYA recognised training centre, qualifying you for an ICC issuance
The CEVNI Test
You can undertake the ICC CEVNI test via Falmouth School of Sailing. This test consists of multiple-choice questions and can be conducted either online or as a paper test.
